I’m enjoying reading your posts. Having both the theory and so many practical applications provided is great.

Oh and I’m a fan of Pobble too … Looks like I’ll be spending my weekend checking out widget thanks to you @Laura Spargo and @SEMH education. 🤗

Another post full of tangible takeaways - so appreciated. I have to second 'Pobble'. A creative outlet which operates in the same daily format. Predictable and inventive!

Have you had experience of using Widgit for generating symbols to dual code timetables and further visual supports? The best out there in my opinion. The nuance of the symbols related to the words is exceptional.

Thanks Laura, I always really appreciate your feedback 😊 Pobble is great isn't it!!!

Widgit is also amazing, I use it now within my role in the Youth Justice Service! We have a lot of children who have parents where English isn't their first language so it's super useful in explaining the children's interventions with our service.

Widgit is amazing for supporting EAL learners and their families. I have recently contributed to a guide which has been produced by Widgit suggesting ways that this can be put into practice. If useful, the booklet can be found here: https://www.widgit.com/about-symbols/booklets/eal-guide.pdf

I have indeed! The weekends and holidays were clear indicators of this! You spend ages implementing routines throughout the week for the children to go home at the weekend to no routines!

However, every time I've noticed this, I've reached out to parents and tried to engage them more in the child's learning at school. The parent workshop I co-ran was really impactful with supporting routines at home: https://semheducation.substack.com/i/154677628/parent-workshops
